I am spending a month or so in Crested Butte, Colorado and I got here just when the rivers were fully dropping into shape. And oh boy has the fishing been good. I have floated three times so far and every float has been getting better and better. If you have a chance to fish in the Gunnison Valley you should come and fish. Since the water has been so high all summer the floating is going to be straight up incredible all the way through October.

This evening I had a chance to float with Ryan Gluek of Double Haul Anglers. The fishing was ridiculous and thanks to some tricky rowing I was lucky enough to land this beautiful, porky rainbow. Now is the time people – get out there!
